READ THE INTERVIEW

Welcome to The Library, Nana. I have some questions for you that are writer specific as well as some fun stuff so that we can really get to know the real you. *grin* Plus we will finish things off with round of Think Fast. Ready to begin?

As ready as I’ll ever be.

Tell us something about yourself that's not in your bio.

I’ve always wanted to be an actress. I think I would have been really good at it.

What do you like to do when you are not writing?

Read. I wish I could do both at the same time.

How did you choose the genres you write in?

I love reading romance novels, so when I decided to write, I knew it would be in this genre. For Love Through Time, the paranormal part was an accident. I honestly didn’t see experiencing past lives to be considered paranormal until my editor said it would be put in that category. I don’t mind though, I’m in excellent company.

Is there any particular author or book that has influenced you or your writing?

I absolutely adore Dorothy Koomson. I read her years ago before I ever thought of being a writer, but I thought if I ever did become one, I’d be just like her. I was wrong. Our styles are totally different.

What has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author? What has been the best compliment?

Not sure if I should admit this, but a reviewer once said she couldn’t read my book because she wasn’t into romance, and she couldn’t finish my book. After I got over being hurt, I was grateful for her for not writing a bad review because it wasn’t her genre.

The best was when two of my friends read my book and actually took the time to write and post good reviews. It meant the world to me.

If you could have dinner with anyone, past or present, fictional or real, who would it be and why?

Jesus. I have a whole lot of questions for him.

You are going to be stranded on a deserted island and bring 3 luxury items. What would they be?

My kindle with a lifelong battery pack so I can recharge it at will.
My bed. I miss it when I don’t sleep at home.
Loads of chocolate. Anything is more tolerable with chocolate.

Pick two celebrities to be your parents. Who are they and why?

Phil Collins because I love him and he’s rich, I’m sure he’d spoil me rotten.
Jada Pinkett Smith – as her child, I’d be beautiful, intelligent, driven, and rich. Plus I could say my mom was on The Matrix movie. How cool would that be?

What would we find in your refrigerator right now?

Cereal. I keep it in there so the ants don’t get to it.

If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?

Impossible to predict, she’ll swerve you every time.

Think Fast
Summer or Winter? Summer, I can’t stand the cold
Coffee or Tea? Tea
Cake or Pie? Cake
Car or Truck? Car
Print or Electronic? Electronic, I can access newer books that way

Thanks for coming by and spending some time with us. Any final words of wisdom to pass along?

Thank you so much for having me. To everyone who thinks they want to be a writer, do it. Make sure you have fun, but do it.

    1. Lol, Elise-Maria. Since I'd be an award winning actress who is in demand, I'd do both. With the action I'd do my own stunts for sure. Hopefully with the romance I'd get to choose my leading man.
