READ THE BLURB

A sugar daddy can make your money woes disappear. But for sugar babies, life is like a chocolate-covered time bomb: sweet on the outside, deadly on the inside.

Young, beautiful, and hungry, Esme, Maire, and Niki want what every woman wants: love, work, safe shelter, the bills paid off, a diamond-studded Rolex and a two-bedroom condo with an ocean view. Working as sugar babies seems to be the only way to make this happen. But the sugar life is more dangerous than they thought.

READ THE REVIEW

This is a gritty, no-holds-barred look at a life that might appear glamorous to some looking in, but has its share of darkness-- the life of wealthy men and the "professional girlfriends" or "sugar babies" that keep them company, in exchange for being taken care of.

Sugar Babies focuses on three of these women and what happens to them. Maire recruits young women for her company--the company that her own sugar daddy is covering the bills for-- a company designed to hook young women (and men) up with benefactors. Esme and Niki are two of these girls, and they soon find out that the picture isn't as pretty as it first looked.

Ms. Corrigan does an excellent job portraying the girls, the city, the men... and kept this reader guessing to the very end who the "mystery man" is whose diary entries bookend this story. If you are in the mood for a dark thriller, give Sugar Babies a try. I think you'll be glad you did.
