What is the favorite book you remember as a child?
My favorite book is THE LITTLE HOUSE by Virginia Lee Burton. I have a copy on my shelf displayed, I love it so much. The story of the little house that the city grew around always reminded me of my grandparents’ house--it was pink too. I share the love of this book with my youngest son. At 19, he still cries when he reads it. At 51, so do I.

What is your favorite book today?
My most current favorite book is Book Lovers by Emily Henry. My Faves of all time are Sidney Sheldon’s If Tomorrow Comes, and Colleen McCullough’s Thorn Birds. These were the books that made me want to be an author.

Tell us about your current book in 10 words.
A friends to lovers romance with the secret admirer spin.

What are you reading right now?
I am currently enjoying Happily Ever After Playlist by Abby Jiminez

E-Reader or print? and why?
Print over E-reader because it just feels nicer. But, I usually listen to audio books while I work.

One book at a time or multiples?
I usually have multiple books going at one time.

Favorite book you've read this year?
Check & Mate by Ali Hazelwood.

I’m a contemporary romance lover all the way!

The note has me laughing. It’s written in Monique’s handwriting, and I can’t even imagine why she—

I look back down at the napkin and grin. So this is Monique’s wise idea to get Brandy to notice me? I now have a secret admirer? Am I supposed to leave these little notes around the house?

I can hear Brandy moving around her room. I look at the note again, and consider it.

Instead of taking my coffee mug with me, I set it on the note. She’ll notice that I forgot my coffee, and maybe she’ll see the writing on the napkin.

Well, I have nothing to lose with Monique’s little game. Grabbing my messenger bag, I hike it up onto my shoulder and head out to work. As is the norm, my phone rings as I’m leaving my office and heading to lunch.

“So now you’re my secret admirer?” I ask as I answer the phone, knowing Monique is on the other end.

Her laugh filters through and brings me a bit of warmth as I step outside in the cold.

“Why, Will, I have no idea what you’re talking about,” she says on another laugh.
