READ THE BLURB

In this final chapter, Ron's story concludes from Reflections on the Boulevard (2023). Michael's wish was for Ron to exile himself in the heart of Paris with its beautiful culture and citizens as they protest and fight for the soul of the city. Ron's journey is met with life-affirming friendships and lessons along the way. The final book in the Reflections of Michael Trilogy, which started with A Reservoir Man (2022).

READ AN EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT

On the left side of the floor were many small passageways with shelves upon shelves, and there was no room for any wall space.

In this area, a sign read, “Live for humanity.” On the ceiling hung beautiful ornate chandeliers that radiated a light reflected on the wall. Strong enough to read by but soft enough to quietly remember.

They walked upstairs. The floor was a little more open with wall to ceiling books. As they approached the stairs, Ron pointed out the writing on the steps.

Two or three words per step, it said, “I wish I could show you when you are lonely in darkness the astonishing light of your own being” - Hanz.

Louie just stared at the staircase, almost looking for more. Ron moved him on.

“Here you have the piano room with chairs and books. Anyone is welcome to play the piano.”

Quietly, Louie sat down at the piano and began to awkwardly play "Clare de Lune." As he went on, he played more assuredly. A few patrons gathered around the piano. When he finished, they applauded very loudly. Louie had never experienced a moment like this; he was always afraid that people would make fun of him and judge him.

As they went out of the room, Ron showed Louie an area that had a typewriter chair and a table. It was there for anyone who might be inspired, or for a writer adding another chapter to their novel.
