Welcome, RoseAnn! What is the favorite book you remember as a child?
I always loved to read. I think I read Little Women about five hundred times when I was a bit older. As a VERY young child? Touch and Feel Bunny still makes me smile!
Tell us about your current book in 10 words.
Return to Audubon Springs is about childhood soul mates finding their way back to one another.
What are you reading right now?
The Perfect Match by Kristan Higgans and Compromising Willa by Diana Quincy.
What books do you have on hold at the library?
A Jill Shalvis Lucky Harbor novel.
One book at a time or multiples?
Multiples.
I have several published author friends. I’m always reading more than one book at a time as a result to keep up with their releases.
Dog-ear or bookmark? (don't worry—Librarian Judith won't hold it against you—much).
Bookmarks! I love collecting bookmarks, especially ones with inspirational quotes. Several bookmarks I own were hand crafted by my daughter. My favorite is a bookmark I had made years ago with her baby picture on it. I’ve never been a fan of the dog-ear thing. If I don’t have a bookmark handy, I prefer to take my chances and know I’ll be hunting down my last spot when I next pick up the book.
Favorite book you've read this year?
Carolina Man by Virginia Kantra. I’m a big fan of hers in general, but this book really took my breath away.
Do you loan your books?
I do loan books out but only with a pinky promise that they will be returned. I’m currently hunting down a few missing books!
Favorite book to recommend?
To a new reader to the romance genre, I usually recommend the Lakeshore Chronicles series by Susan Wiggs. I’m a huge fan of her writing.
Keep books or give them away?
Because I attend a lot of writing conferences, I tend to accumulate a lot of books in my office on a daily basis. I like donating my books once I’m finished with them to the library. Just recently I was in the romance section of my local library and saw books I know I donated on the shelves. I was so happy to think that I introduced potential readers to new authors.
RoseAnn DeFranco grew up in upstate NY with her nose in a book and a song in her heart. Following the pursuit of a musical theatre career in NYC, she turned her creative energy to writing romance. RoseAnn blogs about her writing experiences with her critique partners at www.the violetfemmes.com. A NJ shore transplant, she enjoys time spent at the beach with her family. She would love to one day live in a quaint shore town like the fictional town Audubon Springs from her BROTHERS OF AUDUBON SPRINGS series. More information about these Contemporary Romantic Comedies can be found at www.radefranco.com.
When Emma Grant returns to her family's Audubon Springs beach house to fulfill the stipulations of her father's will, she has every intention of forcing her former lover out of the house for good. She's never fit into her wealthy family and would prefer avoiding her past, but with her brother threatening to reveal her young daughter, she has no choice.
Rafe Iuliano has other plans. The wealthy Grants tried to bribe him out of Emma's life years ago, but he's determined to prove once and for all that a master carpenter is worthy of Emma and the house.
Their ridiculous and steamy battle for the house reignites the love and passion that bloomed between them years ago. But when Rafe discovers she's kept their daughter a secret for two years, can he overcome anger and pride to claim his family and the love of his life, or will the deception drive a final wedge between them?

I've enjoyed both of your books, RoseAnn, and I'm eagerly waiting book #3. I adore libraries, just walking through the doors and inhaling the scents and feeling like I'm amongst friends is enough. But to walk out with a new treasure. Perfect! : ).
ReplyDeleteI love the bookmark idea RoseAnn and I'm with you on the dog-ear thing. Makes me cringe. I loved Return to Audubon Springs and I'll have to go check out the Lakeshore Chronicles.
ReplyDeleteHi Robena! I always felt right at home in a library as well.
ReplyDeleteEmma - you won't be sorry to start the Lakeshore Chronicles. I'm on the hunt for the first book in the series. I can't remember who I loaned it to!
Sounds like a great read!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
